Alright, so I can explain some of what is going on; I'm using my NS1 nation as the role play country. Now, for your first question 'who the hell is Greater Americania?', he is a country that I'm having a cold war with, I'm supporting democracies and he's supporting nationalists and fascists.

Second, there are four main political parties; The Democratic Unionists, who are center-right and conservative, the Socialists which are left, and Democratic-Republicans which are centrist, but tend to lean towards the right in most cases, and are well known for increasing rights and lowering taxes, and finally the Federalists, which are the founding party of the country, much like the Democratic-Republicans who are also a founding party. Now, the Democratic-Republican party and the Federalist Party are the two largest, and tend to oppose each other in most cases, except when it comes to taxes and guns. Another smaller party that is often active and I throw in everyone once in a while is the Liberal party, the liberal party has no seats on the Federal Council or anywhere in the government currently.
