This is the forum for the rules and regulations of the GIA's offsite forum based RPG, Partition of India.

Rules and Regulations of Partition of India India-13

In the real world, this event was an incredible moment in time, when the efforts of Mohandas Karamchand Gandhi, and other Hindu, Muslim, Sikh, Buddhist, and other natives of British India, used civil disobedience to gain independence from the British Empire. However, Indian and Arab nationalists had already begun fighting each other before the partition. And the British Cabinet was sent by the Parliament to decide which course of action was best suited for British India. A whole united, possibly, confederate India. Or a separate India and a separate Pakistan. As we all know, the way it happened was the split of them both. But what if we were the ones who decided how to do this? This is the game where WE decide the fate of British India....

The roles:

British Cabinet - Sent by British government after fighting occurs on what to do with the soon-to-be free nation. Want to create a nation/s that will make the majority happy.

Indian National Congress Party - The most prominent force in India leading to independence. Led by Jawaharlal Nehru, the future Prime Minister of India. Wish to have a strong federal government over all of British India.

The Muslim League - A force of arabs who desire their own independent Pakistan in areas of prominent muslim populations. Led by Muhammad Ali Jinnah who would become the first Prime Minister of Pakistan. Want either an Independent Pakistan, but may settle for a confederate states of India style of governing.

The Sikhs - The Sikhs, to this day desire their own independent nation of Khalistan in the Punjab province. Which today is split between India and Pakistan. Want their own independent Nation of Khalistan, nothing else.

This is a four person game, in which each player takes up the a separate role and begin debating with one another on what the best course of action will be. The decision will be made by the British Cabinet, but all parties must push the cabinet for their course of action. This game as of right now doesn't include dice roles, as it is more of a game of persuasion than anything else.
