Rules and Regulations of NATO vs. Warsaw Empty Rules and Regulations of NATO vs. Warsaw

NATO vs. Warsaw is the first completed rpg of the GIA. It is fairly simple as one takes on the role of the North Atlantic Treaty Organization or the Warsaw Pact. For those who don't know, the NATO was a western democracy group of nations that banned together in order to contain communism. And the Warsaw Pact was a similar alliance created and established by the USSR, Union of Soviet Socialist Republics, to counteract the goals of NATO.

The current map...

Rules and Regulations of NATO vs. Warsaw Natogi11

Serves as the beginning nations of each group. While some joined slightly later than others, this is the general group who had become members by the early 1950's. But the game starts right after WW2 ends. And it is time to start using the economic and political strengths of each group. While almost all of Europe is in ruins after the war, the US and Canada remain unharmed, as does the eastern part of the USSR. So those nations will be the main benefactors to the starting stages of the game...

The main goal of the game is to spread your ideals and to stomp on your opponents ideals. To do this you need to spread them. BUT, some countries will be easier to take than others. Some will easily fall to NATO, while others will easily fall to Warsaw. And some will be a gruesome battle till the end forcing your hand to militarily "fix" the situation.

There will be, currently, and unset number of rounds. In each round there are 3 stages, an economic and diplomatic round, a political round, and a military round. The first two must always be used, most of the time unless the right is waived by the player, while the 3rd round is more of like an option, for a must do kind of thing.

The economic and diplomatic stage is where the player can spend money on unaligned nations to draw them to their cause, and to diplomatically extend a hand, propaganda. The first round uses money(economy) and points(diplomacy/propaganda). Depending on which group one is using, they have more or less money or points to spend. A player may spend money to "bribe" a nation when it has a favored succession rate of above 75%. Like NATO may "buy" Spain which is 85% NATO - 5% Warsaw. But if it is below that, then the player must use propaganda in the first stage, and then try to politically acquire the nation in the second stage. I.E. China is 60% Warsaw, 35% NATO, Warsaw must use propaganda points to coerce the nation, the follow it with a diplomatic trip. BUT it is not a guarantee you will get the nation. Buying a nation, you role the dice, and must get a 1,2,4,6 to win. Good chances! And using propaganda is 2,3,4,. If you are not successful, you will lose 5% with the nation in question.

The political round is where the nation has a chance to try expand there influence by going on trips/speaking with unaligned nations leaders. Meaning, rolling the dice. If a player goes on a trip to a nation with above 75%, like with buying, must role a 1,2,4,6. Between 75% and 50% the player must role an even number 2,4,6. A winning role equals +5% with the nation. If they fail, like before, they will lose 5%. For nations below 50% if a nation attempts to do so, they must role a 1 or a 6. BUT if they are successful, they get +10% instead of the usual +5%. However, if they are unsuccessful, as you would imagine, they'd get -10%.

The following list is one that states all of the unaligned nations on the map, and what the percentage rates are of likely success in each nation. NOTE their will be some neutrality points in some nations, those will be gained and lost throughout the game... And each continent's nations has a bonus, but as a member of a continent as of right now.
