The Diplomatic unit act

1)The Diplomatic unit shall consist of anywhere between 1 and 3 members including an Ambassador (Ambassador refers to job requirements not Ambassador status on NS2) as head of the unit.

1a)As this is not a committee members from this unit may sit upon councils and committees and anyone from Voter Nation to President may be in the unit.

1b) Members must be elected to the unit with self or 3rd party nomination. When the members have been chosen a second election shall be held between them for the Ambassador.

2) It shall be the job of the Unit to be the first to respond to threats from abroad after being informed by the President, ILO, Security Council or Individual nation.

2a) The Unit having been informed will deliberate upon the course of action with the Ambassador making the final decision.

2b) The Unit only have the power to respond peacefully via telegram or other means. If these means fail then the process shall be passed on to the military wing of the Alliance.

3) If a member of the alliance is attacked it shall be the Unit's task to respond first. If a President declares war without allowing the Unit time to respond (a period of 24 Hours will be allowed to make contact with the aggressor) then they shall be deemed to have broken the laws of the Alliance.

4) The Unit is not required to share sensitive information concerning diplomatic discussion with foreign nations with the Security Council, Domestic Committee or ILO. However they must share all telegrams with fellow Unit members and they in turn if they feel it necessary may inform appropriate authorities if laws have been breached.

5) Before making final agreements with foreign nations in attempts to resolve a crisis the Unit must inform the President for his approval and if they deem it necessary the Alliance nation who is concerned.

6) This legislation may be extended by future acts.
