F-22 and F-35

So what do the non-Americans here think about the US having the two most advanced planes in the world. I know that the UK is aiding is creating the F-35, but other than that, what do you guys think of this?

Meh when the Euro Fighter gets finished there will be a new supreem weapon... if we ever get it finished.

Really its to b expected, number one power number one weapons technology. Just like the HMS Warrior at the end of the 19th century. First iron hulled warship in the world and while it resolved several clashes it never fired a shot in anger; now its on display in Portsmouth. Trust me in 80 years toursits will be looking at these jets like they're bloody stone henge.

But of course. By then we'll have space fighters and instead of fighting wars against each other, we'll be fighting against aliens in another galaxy!

As soon as the EU finishes that Euro Fighter, I bet within 2 weeks the US will already be working on something to beat it.

I think the US will be before that. Right when the Euro Fighter is finished, the US will come out with the first space fighter, that has the ability to launch, and then orbit around earth, and launch a missile from anywhere, to hit anywhere in the world, and then it can come back and land on earth!

Yeah I know right.

The Euro Fighter is a last hurrah of old world militarization which America hasn't got over with yet basically because it's too young. We aren't as powerful as the New World but hopefully now we can concentrate on Unification of Nations, feeding the poor and ending poverty. Give us a call in a hundred years just after the Empire of America has fallen apart and humanitarians have taken over.

Yeah, I think it will be the other way around, Europe will likely be in shambles because of the liberal machine rather than America.

Also, don't go with the 'American Empire' argument, it gets really old, really fast.

I don't mean the Middle East wars as Imperialism. I meant the money empire, Britain put down flags and stole countries, you build McDonalds.

Anyway no I don't think that helping the poor and helpless is going to leave a liberal Europe in shambles, what I do think is that having a massive sized government, restricting freedom by taking away the right to have weapons and taxing everyone to nth degree is what will hurt Europe, helping the poor is all fine and dandy, but when the massive taxes put against someone, is going to government waist, that is what's wrong and will hurt.

Fine that's your opinion, but we haven't had guns and the death penalty in Europe for a long time and we're still doing fine.

I agree, there's always a chance of having something be worse.

One of these days the EU will grow a pair and not be so full of bureaucratic rubbish and corrupt morons and countries such as mine will actually contribute properly to it. Then Europe can do something worth doing to make up for Europe's history of pain around the world.

Eventually, and eventually the American government won't be so corrupt, but that day hasn't yet been reached.
